A few weeks ago, I was able to meet three generations of the family on my father’s side for the first time. They were brought together with the cousins and uncles I’ve known for most of my life.
While many of us had never collectively been in a room together, to anyone on the outside looking in, it would appear without much objection that we were a family that hosted these kinds of events weekly, not every 10 or 20 years. And while the experience was humbling, I really have to thank #Toyota for making it happen. They appreciate what it means to be #GenerationsDeep and to bring families together. Without them sponsoring this dinner, it may have been another couple years before someone tried to bring us together.
So thank you Toyota for all of the food and for hooking up my cousin Jaylyn with $1,000 scholarship towards her semester at UCLA.
