Let’s not overthink this. Pork is good. We like pork. We eat pork. And in Puerto Rico, particularly in the Guavate region, they serve some pretty fucking delicious pork. In fact, all of the restaurants lining the roads in the area are devoted to roasting our fat little friends. A few of these lechoneras (the local name) have been featured on the Travel Channel, Los Pinos and El Rancho Original included. I’ve had the opportunity of dining at both and realize that if you’re in search of a local vibe with affordable price, there’s only one choice.
