I haven’t been the biggest fan of London over the years. It’s a very charcoal place: grey, somber. My first visit was in 2012, on the heel of stays in Paris and Venice. As a photographer, I found those locations soaked in visual splendor. I imagine one would have to suffer from impaired vision to take a bad photograph in either place.
This spring, I returned to London for what I hoped would be a very fast 24-hours full of pints with mates. What I found during that window was a new London. A warm and energetic city with bustling neighborhoods that I knew little about prior to my arrival: Camden Town and Brixton. The video below explores my time in those areas and how they changed my view of a city I once loathed.
